Using Keyboard As Mouse

Today I discovered a very handy feature of the windows operating system. Suppose, your mouse stops working and you have something important to do on your PC, an idea comes to the mind of using your arrow keys as mouse. It's very easy, all you have to do is remember these few steps:

Press ALT+SHIFT+NUMLOCK simultaneously. A message looking like this will pop-up:

Select YES and you now you can use your numpad as your mouse. You can access the settings of this
function by double-clicking the mouse icon in the notification area.

Once you start using the numpad as your mouse, you'll notice it's very slow. So, you might want to go in to the settings and turn the acceleration and top speed to full.

You must know the controls, so here they are:
  • The "4" key will take cursor left, "6" right, "8" up and "2" down.
  • Use "5" key for left click, "+" key for double click, "-" key for right click.
So this is almost all you need to know about it for using keyboard as a mouse. Hope, you found the post helpful.
